When I moved into my unit, it had new carpet and painted walls. It's in pretty good shape with most problems in the bathroom. My unit is spacious and adequate for the needs of a single working person. Utiliites are expensive. I live alone and pay $130-150 without the a/c or heat running. The rent is average for what you get.

The complex has a great location. It's located in between North Monroe Street and Thomasville Road. Lake Ella is seconds away and the Capital area is very close. Many units look nice on the outside and the landscaping is usually well kept. Pollen needs to be swept more throughly from units located near trees. The swimming pools/decks are in bad shape. They need to be cleaned and painted. They used to be in great shape but this has recently changed. One apartment has a huge hole in the side where animals/insects can easily take residence. On the positive, there is a playground for children and grills available for cookouts.

The management staff have been professional and nice to me. I haven't had any major issues with maintenenace. They tend to be responsive to my requests. The only complaint is that when some tile fell off my shower wall, they fixed it by placing a piece of glued plastic over the hole. It's a poor job and people crack up laughing when they see it!

The parking is spacious. I usually find a space in front of my apartment. There are plenty of garbage dumpsters and they have a good recycling program for glass, plastic, paper and cardboard. The noise level is bad on weekends with the bass thumping as people cruise around the parking lot. I have occasionally witnessed police interventions for domestic and drug issues. During the fall of 2007, my neighbor was robbed at gunpoint in front of his apartment. This was quite scary.

If you need a place for a short time or transition period, I recommend it. There are better places in Tallahassee but I am content at the moment.
