Don't live here!

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2008
I was a resident at Park Avenue Villas for 3 yrs. Overall, my experience while there was ok. They allow relative freedom to improve the property. I redid the bathroom, planted bushes out front, and tiled the entryway. Very rarely do they do anything to that improves the property. It's left up to you. I endured the increased rent each year and the addition of a $10 per pet fee each month.
The real problems arose when I moved out. They wouldn't let me out of my last month of rent. Ok, I paid for a month I didn't live there and ate $725 in rent. When I moved out, I cancelled and paid utilities in my name and assumed all was well. they had them turned on in their name during the time the apartment was vacant. During this time, the ancient hot water line burst, flooding not only our vacant apartment but into the apartment next door. Now they are trying to charge us $185 in utility charges to cover the cost of cleaning up the mess and power they used. We were moved out and power was no longer in our name and now they want to charge us for the electricity they used''''
