While this apartment complex looks good on the outside, there are several little things that will drive you insane in these excessively overpriced apartments. First off is the front office. Once you're in and your rent is paid, they don't care. I've been there 3 years and there has only ever been a couple of people in their renting office that were helpful and able to take care of a problem. The rest of their staff has been incredibly incompetant, and rude during my stay at these apartments. The rent is outrageous for the quality of the apartments. Like I said, they look nice at first glance, but there are a ton of problems. The walls are thin and the insulation is non-existant, so not only do you hear your neighbirs often, your electric bills will be high due to poor insulation. There are ants. Lots of ants. I have been invaded at least 4 times and each time had to have my entire kitchen sprayed and not once has management offered to compensate me for the food that was lost. I've had leaks. 4 that I can think of. My pressure valve blew on my rusty old water heater once and flooded my patio overnight (with hot water that I was paying to heat by the way...no compensation). I had a leak in the wall that took 3 tries before it actually got fixed. I've lost my heat or air conditioning a time or two, and overall have been very unhappy with living here. I only stayed because I could walk to work. Do yourself a favor and look somewhere else. The complex right next door (The Plantations at Pine Lake) are a little more expensive, but they are the exact same layout as the Plantations at Killearn, only they are 2 stories instead of three and my friends who live there have been much happier there than I have been where i am. Not nearly as many problems.

Yes, but remember the Plantations at Pine Lake are owned by the same company as the Plantations at Killearn... so they can't be THAT much better...
