Not bad for an apartment near FSU

Players Club is a decent apartment complex, especially for being so close to FSU. I personally had no major complaints over my 15 month stay.
Location - The location is really great for Florida State or TCC students. Players Club is only 5 minutes away from both campuses. One of my roommates actually used the FSU bus line that runs right across the street from the complex, even after she had gotten a car. It would actually be very easy to live at this complex without a car because everything you need is within walking distance - Publix, Starbucks, Walgreens, post office, Golds gym, Aveda salon, and numerous restaurants. Living at Players Club is awesome during football season because you can easily walk from your apartment to the stadium. No worries about parking!
People - Residents are mostly college students. My roommates were friends of friends, so I really never had to deal with the dreaded random roommate placement.
Parking - Resident parking was fabulous, but the major parking issue was with visitors. It was nearly impossible for guests to find spaces in the designated "visitor" spots on Friday and Saturday nights. Sometimes friends would wait in their cars, hoping to get a space, but other times that would just park illegally in a resident spot. However, for the rest of the night, we would have the window blinds open, watching to make sure their car didn't get towed. Towing definitely happened. The awful guest parking often forced me to go to my friends' places, rather than feeling that I could invite them over. Players Club should definitely create more visitor spots, especially in the back of the complex where there are plenty of available spaces.
Noise - My apartment building only had minor noise issues, but I did live in the very back of the complex. The first apartment building (on the right as you entered the complex) seemed to have a party going every weekend.
Grounds - The community's appearance was nice.
Safety - The lighting and visibility was pretty good for the complex. I was nervous living in the back of the complex where it often felt deserted, but there was a security guard that walked around the complex at night (not sure if it was every night or just weekends). We also often had police cars patrolling the complex... which is a good thing but can indicate bad things, I guess. However, the worst incident I ever experienced was someone being brought out of his apartment and taken away in a police car. One night, I called the police because someone kept banging on my door and running away (while I was home alone), and I was very impressed by how quickly the officer arrived. I felt a lot safer after that...
Construction - The "cheapest" aspects about the apartment were the shower heads in the bathroom and the quality of the bed mattress. (I took care of these problems by using my own shower head and adding a pillow top mattress pad to the bed.) The wall paper in the kitchen was also a little tacky, and the living room furniture needed to be replaced. The sound insulation within the apartment was pretty poor. In the mornings, I would sometimes be woken up by someone pouring their cereal and clanking their spoon. However, it wasn't that bad overall.
Maintenance - The maintenance men were ok. They came pretty quickly if there was a problem, but one of them was rude at times.
Staff - I never had any problems with the Players Club staff, but overall the employees seemed really young.
Overall - This is my only experience with a close-to-campus apartment complex (I previously lived in dorms), and I enjoyed my overall experience. I think Players Club had some nice perks... washers and dryers in every unit, good size closets in the bedrooms, great location, cable TV with HBO, etc. I wouldn't have minded staying at Players Club for another year or two.

I think I paid about $400/month. All the apartments are furnished with sofa, chairs, coffee table, tv stand, and washer & dryer. Each of the bedrooms has an extra-long double bed, a dresser, and a built-in desk with chair. The website is www.myownapartment.com. You can view the floor plan there. Good luck!
