While it?s nice that you can walk to FSU from The Plaza...eventually that became about the only good thing about it--that, and my studio rent price (no utilities paid in a studio).



Management was okay from 2001-02, but after that, it switched and see-sawed from bad to worse. Neighbors are noisy and don?t give a darn that they disturb you (I was actually cussed out by a neighbor I had asked to be quiet). I could hear my neighbors on all sides--left, right, upstairs, behind me, and anyone walking outside. Upstairs was especially bad--when they walked around, it shook my entire apt. Management never really did anything with my noise complaints.



Watch out for some of the appliances--my stove was ancient. I actually melted a plastic cutting board on the stovetop from turning on the oven. The maintenance guy said that unless the stove flat out broke, they wouldn?t replace it (gee, so that?s NOT a fire hazard').



Maintenance was usually pretty prompt. Although right before I moved out, my upstairs neighbor?s water pipe broke and flooded my bathroom. Emergency maintenance took maybe 45 minutes to call me back after I paged them.



And then there?s the little things--never had a problem with billing, but they didn?t have my apt. ready when I arrived (they had 2 months notice), lights outside went out and weren?t replaced for months, bangs and dings on my car, overflowing dumpsters (especially around the change of semesters), no laundry facility for...ever (they tell you to go to another property and neglect to tell you that their machines cost more money--I had to beg quarters off of people the first time I went), etc.



Eh. You get what you pay for. Glad I?m out of there.
