I moved in August 2003 and left in June 2004 - a month before my lease ended. When I moved in, they put me into another apartment without notiifying me first. And I ended up with the worst one - bottom floor by the dumpster under the stairwell. It felt like the apartment was shaking whenever people walked upstairs. The carpets were wet when I moved in, and there was mold along the carpet liners on the walls. THe apartment next to mine was infested with mold - the walls were covered. My kitchen sink didn't work the first week I lived there. I was washing dishes in the bathroom. THe other reviews posted are right on - I saw the hookers and bums all the time. I even saw a used condom and drug bags in the parking lot right outside my apt. It took forever to get things fixed, and the people in the office are extremely condecending to residents. We scrubbed the apartment top to bottom before we left - and the apartment kept $80 from the deposit for Damage and Cleaning fees. When I contested this in writing, they were supposed to respond in writing, explaining what I was being charged for. I never got the difference or an explanation. I was told the letter had been sent, as well as a second copy - an obvious lie as it has never arrived and its been eight months since I left.

My advice - do not move here - its really not worth the close walk to campus. I moved a little further out from campus, and live with normal neighbors and management that actually treat you like humans.
