I had an okay year living here, the complex was nice. parking is terrible at night and during night games. there is no roam tow no matter what the sign says so if you live here, park early or you may not get parking. i had to park in handicap spots a lot of times. also, one of the managers is SO rude. i cleaned my bedroom and bathroom and scrubbed everything. I got charged for bleach stains on the carpet and blue stains and i have no idea how those go there because i have never had bleach in my room. I dont even own bleach. also, i moved out early to get my wisdom teeth out so my sister turned in the keys a day late because of a sign that said the office was open monday-friday, 9-5. she went by on saturday to turn the key in before the move in day and saw this sign. They told her that she might has well throw the key away. When I asked why the $100 charge for keys, they said they wanted the keys back. Well, why would they charge that much if it was something tha could be thrown away''
-$100 key charge
-$25 light trash charge
-$25 carpet charge
-$3 polaroid charge
the problem is, on the lease they have this key contract that you legally sign. you can't live there unless you sign it.
take precaution. they are just stealing money form those who don't have any. also, there is no leniancy for good tenants. my bank didnt mail the check on time and they still charged us a late fee (even when we had overpayed every month before the due date).
good price, but too small. kitchen small, bathroom small, bedroom small. during the summer the pool was green from algae for a week or two before it got cleaned.

Hi Lauren.
I am going to use this forum to clarify a few things for you and the Apartment Ratings audience.
We DO roam tow randomly throughout the lease term AND when residents bring to our attention that guests are taking their parking places. Shame on you for parking in a handicap spot multiple times.
You signed both a lease and a key agreement attesting that "I must return all keys to management when I move out at the expiration of the lease agreement. If all keys are not returned, I understand I will be charged a minimum of $50 per key." Your lease agreement terminated on August 12 at 12 noon. Your sister dropped off your keys (1-apt, 1 mailbox) on 08/13. The key charge is, therefore, justified.
Additionally, three notices (dated 05/02, 06/12 & 07/12) were delivered to your apartment addressed to you and two were mailed to your home address with both your name and your parental guaranty's name further defining move-out procedures. It was your responsibility, Lauren, per the lease to return the apartment to the same or better condition. You did not.
As depicted in the photos that you and I both reviewed on 09/12/07, there were bleach spots and blue stains on your bedroom carpet. The carpet cleaner charged $25 to clean the aforementioned. This charge was passed on to you. You were charged $25 for trash that was left behind and also captured in photographs. A large bath towel, robe, soft soap dispenser, and The Works cleaning agent were left in your bathroom for us to remove and pay to dispose of. A $3.00 polaroid fee for the photographs that were taken was also passed along to you. This was by no means an attempt to "steal money". Anyone reading this would agree with me that all charges are tenable. Neither you nor any of your roommates were present on move-out day to conduct a joint inspection of your apartment.
The rent is due on the 15th of each month by 5 pm and is late thereafter. This applies to all residents of Polo Club.
The pool is cleaned every Monday by an outside contractor during the lease term and on Friday's by our own maintenance tech during the summer months when traffic is high and rains are heavy. Yes, the pool was green over a weekend during the summer and took two shock treatments the following Monday and Tuesday. The pool contractor stated that an unknown culprit dropped green dye or green tabs in the pool to turn it green. The pool was closed during these treatments and reopened when the water cleared.
If I may assist you further, I available M-F, 9-5.
I wish you much happiness & success, Lauren, in your new home.
Lynn, Property Manager

Thank you for your reply, I think you are very considerate for your time. One, the security officer told me to park in the handicap spot and he would not call towing company until we begged. I still believe the key charge is overpriced. I was given the statement "We really want our keys back and that is why the charge is so expensive." My sister did return the keys on Monday because she was unaware that the apartment complex was open, due to a green sign she saw posted on the front office door on Saturday the 11th saying the office was open Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. This confused her so she returned it when the office said it would be open. I was getting my wisdom teeth out at the time. Even though notices were given to me and my parents house, there was a sign that would confuse anyone who did not live at the apartment complex or at my parent's home. I understand the fees but I just warn new apartment renters of these fees when they move out. I would have no problem with this apartment until I left. Obviously this is how the apartment complex gets money, but it seems a little unjust to pay $100 for something that probably costs $1 to replace (even though the keys were given back). The fine will be paid, I just wanted to let some good tenants to know of these "suprise" fees (because sometimes we don't look at what we sign since we have to sign it to live there). I have heard of apartments all over town that have these fees and new tenants that take care of their apartment could be charged over $100 when they move out. Also, when it comes to bleach stains, I should have looked closer when I moved in, because I do not own bleach. Can you even get bleach out with a carpet cleaner??? Thank you for your time in answering any misconceptions. These are your policies and there is nothing I can do about them. Legally, I understand.

The parking situation I agree with the resident. Last year there were several abandon cars that mangement refused to tow. They claimed that they were resident vechicles, when in fact the tags were expired and had not moved in months.
