Sadly, this is probably one of the nicest places to live in Tallahassee. With the access gates and intrusion alarms, I thought I would be safe there.
Luckily I was close to moving out I started to notice how downhill the complex is going. On a Sunday night at about 1:30 a.m., there was an armed robbery in the parking lot and a resident had his car stolen while being held at gunpoint. I believe that two main problems in the complex contributed to this: the "access gate" had not been working for at least a month, which gave the criminal an easy getaway; also, ALL of the streetlights in the parking lot had been out for several nights, which made it pitch dark in the parking lot.
Personally, I feel that I wasted a lot of money living in Polos on Park. It was loud, poor quality, and full of undesirable, disrespectful neighbors. The staff was unattentive to serious security issues and the residents' concerns.
I am so happy to have left there because I never would have felt safe again.
