I'm usually not much of a complainer but I've lived at Polo's for 3 years now and have seen some significant changes within the last year---it's going downhill and fast! There are some complaints that I've had since I moved in but others are only recent:
1. Speed bumps are enormous and mess up the alignment on your car.
2. If you live in the back of the complex then you WILL hear the train go by throughout the day and during the NIGHT---it will even shake and rattle your pictures and glass tables.
3. The security gate doesn't keep ANYONE out---about 3 cars can slip in each time it opens AND you have to practically get out of your car to get to the code box.
4. The trash piles up in front of the compactor and stays like that for days at a time---Trash Mountain welcomes you home!
5. The apartments are very damp and always smell like mildew---bring some Damprid and air fresheners.
6. The water pressure is horrible for taking showers.
7. No one cleans up after their pets so walking on the grass is out of the question---unless you enjoy scraping poop out of the cracks in your shoes.
8. The hot tub in the back of the complex hasn't worked in the 3 years that I've lived here and STILL doesn't.
9. Maintenance is a complete joke---they completely ignore requests.
10. Parking is horrible!!!! There are never any parking spaces so you end up carrying your groceries 1/2 mile to your apartment. Visitors parking in the back of the complex is completely isolated and unlit---it is very unsafe.
11. Recently, they have decided to take a vacation from cutting the grass---I think they're on a monthly mowing schedule.
12. During the winter, they'll have the sprinklers on so you get an ice skating rink for free---Many residents slipped and fell because the staircases and parking lots turned to ice because they left the automatic sprinklers on during the coldest part of the winter.
13. Bring your mace because there are some weirdoes living here---I was caught in a very bad situation when returning to my apartment---caught my creepy neighbor outside my apartment looking into my bedroom window at 12:00 at night!
14. Turning left out of the complex onto Park Ave is a complete nightmare---plan to bring a book to read.
15. The walls are paper thin and you can hear EVERYTHING that your neighbors do.
16. The master bedrooms are right next to the staircases and you can hear people walking up and down the stairs ALL THROUGHOUT the night.
17. At one point, the basketball nets had to be taken down because hoodlums came from all over town and used the B-ball courts---shows how well the security gate works!
18. Pest control has become nonexistent---bring your raid!
19. I hope you like frogs, toads and snakes because they are everywhere!!!
20. There is NOTHING convenient about the placement of the mailboxes--watch out for the traffic jam when everyone parks their cars along the side of the road to collect their mail.
21. Expect for your rent to increase by AT LEAST $35 per year.
22. If you have a pet, there is a $400 pet fee/deposit---more than my, purebred, dog cost me!

So, for anyone who is considering making Polo's their home, I would read this list over again and rethink your decision. I'm being completely honest and upfront---Be wise, take my advice and live elsewhere qmzu4EHcaGAPVCPw2Fai
