Avoid this complex at all costs. I've lived here for 3 years, & my lease expires 7/31/05. I was given the option to renew for a year or renew on a month-by-month basis as a tenant in sufferance for 100$ extra. These options were given to me in a written document signed by the manager. When I notified the office that I would be renewing on a month-to-month basis for one extra month, thereby extending my lease until 8/31/05, they informed me that they'd changed their minds, & that I no longer had the option to do that. Even though I have a signed form from the manager, & many of my friends are extending their leases on a month-to-month basis, they refuse to allow me to do this because "it's prime rental time." When I argued that legally, they cannot just change their minds like that when I have a signed document stating I could renew monthly, they yelled at me, said they can do whatever they want under Florida's landlord-tenant law. I completely got screwed, & I've had to contact an attorney.

The management is horrible. They are complete idiots and VERY RUDE. Any time you have a problem, they are completely unhelpful. They've accidentally given my mail & some packages to the wrong tenants. (I ordered some things that were delivered UPS & they negligently gave them to the wrong person--so I never got my package.) When I moved in, my dryer didn't work & the screen door was broken. It took them weeks to fix it..my screen door still does not work! The maintenance guys are totally useless & they're creepy. They drive around on golf carts & goof off all day long, but never get around to fixing anything. My boyfriend's bathroom faucet was broken for 6 months--he had to use a wrench to turn the water on. They finally fixed it, but switched the knobs...so hot water comes out where it says 'cold.' The security gate never works. They always forget to turn the parking lot lights on in the back when it gets dark..so it will be pitch black dark at night---not very safe for a woman living alone. Also, they forgot to mention the train that runs directly behind the complex when I moved in. It's so loud & my whole apartment shakes every time it goes by.

My friend lives in another building & was almost shot when the people who lived above her accidentally fired a shotgun through her floor. The bullet went through her ceiling & out the floor of her apartment, & came within inches of hitting her! She could have been killed. (You can read her review--it's posted too).

This place is awful. The only reason I've stayed here for the last 3 years is b/c it was easier than having to move all my crap again during school. Now I need to extend my lease by one month & they are suddenly telling me I can't--even though I have a signed document by the manager stating that I have the option to do so. It's awful here & they will completely take advantage of you. Stay away!!
