My experience at the Preserve was by far, the worst living experience I have ever had. When I signed my lease, the place was still under construction and they were supposedly "ahead of schedule". I was promised that I could move in early. That among other things was a lie.

5 months after I signed my lease they told me that my application was not approved and I would have to find a co-signer within 7 days or give up the apartment. I had already given them over $500 dollars and had to come up with another $450 to keep my apartment.

Every amenity that we were promised was not completed until the end of the lease term. All of the advertisements stated we would have a clubhouse, pool, basketball court, fitness center, cyber cafe, and much more. We got absolutely nothing.

The complex was not finished until 2 months after we were originally told it would be complete so I had to put my things into storage and find somewhere else to live for a while. The management could care less. All I got was attitude.

When we finally moved into the Preserve I was truly disappointed at the cheap slack job they did when constructing the place. The apartments are big, but that's it. They laid the cheapest berber carpet they could find(which came up all around the house), used the cheapest unfinished wood for the decks, used some type of plaster for our front step (which crumbled after the 7th day we moved in), installed broken fans & blinds, and was overun by various species of bugs.

The security they promised was non-existent and maintenance & pest control ignored our requests.

The icing on the cake was when we were asked to move out for a week because mold was growing all through our "brand new townhome". We were compensated a $105 rent concession for moving out which is not nearly enough to cover a hotel. Upon returning to our home, we discovered our front door was open and all of our furniture and electronics were gone. Apparently the workers that stole our things also burglarized anywhere from 50 to 75% of the other homes. Appliances, personal items, and various other things were taken.

The worst part of all of this is the straight attitude I recieved from the leasing office staff. They are evil people that don't give a damn about the residents because they figure we a dumb students that will take whatever they give us.

The Preserve currently has a class action law suit against them because of the mold problems that made people sick. They also have several civil suits becaus eof the burglaries and lack of profesionalism shown by the staff and the workers.

Places like this will only thrive if people continue to give them money. Inform yourself before you shell out hundreds to a place that treats their residents like dirt.
