This place over charges students. They require a month rent to move in and then apply it to 10 days of occupancy in the month of august. They essentially got 25 months rent for less than 24 months occupancy(or 13 months for a 1 year lease). They kept my security deposit because I did not re paint my room and then charged me for the removal of paint cans. Complaints fll on deaf ears with mgmt.

Parking is a nightmare. Tanning beds might as well not be there since it is a pita to try to get one with sign up, etc. Trash barrel so far away you have to drive to it. AC units that freeze up and shut off allowing mold to grow in the apartment and on furniture. These are just some of the things we had to deal with while there.

Add this to increased rent and decreases in services and you see why I would avoid this place at all cost. With so many other housing options in the area, go somewhere else. Save yourself the aggravation.

I agree that the trash barrel is a million miles away but thats how most places are in tallahassee anyways. Also, our AC unit has frozen up at least 4 times but thats over the course of 2 years. (You can't expect the best AC units in a college town) I haven't seen any mold either. I definitely don't think the Preserve is perfect, but it's definitely not as bad as you made it out to be.
