To fully review this place would take volumes so here is the condensed version...
What they offer vs what you actually get:
"Adequate lighting": lots of single pane windows, insufficient fixtures. If you want more lighting installed you pay for parts and labor and it becomes their property.
"Sound insullated units": NOT! If your neighbor breaks wind you hear it. Very noisy stair traffic, hot tub noise, vaccuuming, stomping neighbors etc...thin walls and ceilings. "Alarm systems": you pay extra through ADT for monitoring but save your money as you have to give the reserve your password. They can come and go with their master key anyway so why bother' Oh and the lease says you give up all legal rights vs them. In short, your stuff is fair game to theft if the maintenance ppl wish it.
"All entry into units supervised by apartment office staff": nope.. see above. I have never once seen the bug sprayer or maintenance accompanied by anyone. "Pest control": if you call making a puddle in front of the toilets and spraying the face plate of the stove pest control then ok. While you dont get roaches, you will get silverfish and lots of them. "Efficient repairs done in timely fashion": Nope..Had a faulty switch on disposal. All they did was reset breaker and claim it was fixed. "Free trash collection": you have to carry your garbage to your car and drive it out to the main road where the compactor is. No bulk trash can be put there so you better plan to have things picked up by waste management if it cant fit in a bag. "Friendly environment": If you consider snobs friendly, then sure. Neighbors will pound on your walls if they think you are living too loudly. Others run their washers at all hours and stomp around.
This place is not handicap friendly. Steep stairs and no wheelchair ramps to be found. No elevators either. If you move here you better use a mover if youre not on ground floor. In summary, what you get for your money doesn't warrant the high cost. If you still think you like it, read the lease CAREFULLY before you sign..you have NO legal rights against the Reserve in the event of ANYTHING. Im glad we left. (side note, for 813.00 you DO get cable....whoopee!)
