I like it here

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006
I've been here since February of 2005. Some of the reviewers here complain about noise but my apartment is really well sound-proofed and quiet. My rent only went up when I decided to go to a month-to-month lease, as I would have expected. I've always felt safe here; even forgot to lock my door a couple times and nothing happened. The master bedroom and master bath in the 3-bedroom apartment is simply gorgeous. The kitchen has ample counter space and is a joy to cook in. The spare bedrooms are spacious as is the guest bath. The only thing I would improve about the layout is the dining room area - putting a rectangular instead of round table in it with four chairs and the extra leaves removed still kind of crowds the living room area and the entrance into the master bedrooom. The neutral grayish color of the carpet doesn't show much dirt and is easy to clean plus it goes with any kind of furniture or decor. I live in one of the Phase I buildings with green railings on the balconies - don't much care for the bright orange metalwork on the Phase II buildings.
The location is great, close to downtown and shopping and yet a little ways out into the country with nice landscaping so you don't feel like you are in a heavily populated urban area.
I would definitely recommend The Reserve at Heritage Oaks. The only reason I am leaving is because I am relocating to another city for a job opportunity.
