Not worth the money

I am currently paying over $1,300 a month for a three bedroom apartment. But I can STILL not seem to find anyone that will fix my air conditioner. It has been broken since Thursday and it continues to get hotter and hotter in my apartment.(I mean, May in Florida is HOT). I called in a request, and they had a maintenance man come and try to fix the air conditioner. However 3 hours after he had "Fixed" it, the temperature continued to rise. I called and was met with a condescending attitude by the maintenance man (who strolled in and said, "seems cool to me") and the office representative that they sent to my apartment after it was "fixed." They tried to tell me that the air coming out of the vents was cool, even though anyone with a brain could tell that it was hot. They told me that he would once again try to fix it. However, it is still not done. I even went to look at the air conditioning unit last night, which was not working (fan not moving) and had have of the wires and parts exposed. Maintenance never fixes things in timely manner. The office staff has a serious attitude problem and no one ever seems to know what to do. I am in phase 1 and it is very dark (I toured the place in the day and would not have rented from here had I seen how dimly lit/dark it is). I would definitely chose to live at a newer, more well-managed complex. I am moving next month!

Where do you live in phase 1? It's not poorly lit at least not the section I live in unless you are on the back side by the woods but there are still lights in the hallways. I've never had problems with maintenance fixing things but I do agree that the AC units do not work well at all! Ours went out last summer but they quickly replaced something in the unit that worked. It looks like it is about to go out again. I do think that the apts here are a little overpriced for the way the place is going down hill. There are many nicer newer complexes in town now.
