Although I don't live at Royal Village, I do live at Royal Pavillion(or the Pavillion at University Village now) and let me tell you about my experience here. When we first moved in there were HUGE bleach stains on our carpet. Then maintenance comes in and decides "we're going to fix your apartment now," which meant all of the stuff we had in the apartment already in the commons area had to be moved. Maintenance is one of the most incompetent things here. Fixing a cabinet to them that is unhinged is just closing it so looking at it, it does look fixed but once you open it the door falls on you yet again. Anytime they need to fix something it's like we're taking time out of their busy lives. We take good care of our stuff. Our toilet NEVER got fixed ("your toilet always runs"genuis at the office). Thankfully someone I know repairs homes for a living and fixed it himself but we had to buy the parts.To sum it up....if you like taking showers where you actually get DRY taking once due to the fact the water somehow sprays around you, you'll love it here..when you do have water becasue every week the water gets shut off. Also, if you want girls who cant pry themselves away from myspace or facebook working for you in the office, this is the place for you. i also loved the fact they switched our locks in the middle of the year and maintenance treats you like you have an IQ of 20 (esp girls) and i had to wait 15 minutes in the office bc reading bulletins on myspace is more important than doing your job. also all the doors dont fit the frames, so either you have to slam the door shut or everyone can hear whats going in. do i have to mention the ppl who live here' Anyone who loves 3 am conversations from residents down to ppl in the parking lot will ABSOLUTLEY love living here. i will miss the conversations about sex positions and ppl asking other to have sex with them or if they have drugs. I will also miss the crappy ass parking here. If you dont have friends this place is perfect bc you can never have ppl over bc there are 10 visitor spots for 200 residents. and they will get towed if they park illegally in about 5 sec. This place is hell and i would never recommend this place to anyone. i wouldnt even live here for free.
