go elsewhere! unprofessional

First of all, I never lived there. I am complaining about their poor organization and unprofessional behavior. The manager there told me when I came to view the property that "We'll get you into this apartment!". I heard that on more than one occasion consistently through my very long application time. I was rejected almost 2 months later because of a small detail that the manager knew at day one! I have perfect credit, my income will be in the appropriate range, and I meet all their other criteria. I worked with them for over 6 weeks to give them everything they asked for to assist them in their rediculous application process. At the end, I was rejected 9 days before the agreed upon move in date. I called repeatively to get an answer. The would not answer the phone nor would they return my messages (they still haven't). They left a message with my girlfriend about our rejection. The corporate office was no help either. I called them, they called Savannah Sound, Savannah never contacted me. It's not just one person either, it's all of them. They promised me a call back by a certain time, they didn't do it. They'd ask me if they could put me on hold for a second. I sat there for over 10 minutes until I hung up the phone and called back to no answer and left a message that was never returned. The staff (and the manager) was clueless about the application process. I'd ask them what to send. They couldn't tell me exactly what to send. I'd ask them questions, they never did get the answers. They told me the process would take 2-3 days from when they filed my application. They were unable to get me an answer until a full week after it had been filed. Delays, delays, delays. I told the manager 2 months ago about the detail that they ended up rejecting me for. She said nothing other than a consistent "We will get you into this apartment". I didn't start my application process 2 months early because I had 2 months to waste. I did so because I wanted an answer as early as possible. Early is not in the vocabulary at SS. I'm suddenly trying to find an apartment 9 days from the move in date. Even worse, they accepted no responsibility for my 2 months wasted apartment looking time. Of course not, they won't even pick up the phone or return my calls, how could they accept blame. They kept my application fees. The organization is extremely unprofessional unless you are speaking with them. They are very polite to your face. Go to a real apartment complex, not these crazy tax credit places like Savannah. They have no clue what they are doing.
