I haven't even moved into the apartment yet, and I'm telling everyone...avoid The Exchange. I signed my lease back in March for a two bedroom apartment because I had a dog. I did not hear from the exchange until a week ago, when I called them, to find out, 10 days before I'm due to move in, what apartment I'm in. First they placed me with someone I'm allergic to (smoking) then someone allergice to my dog. Then they made three more arbitrary chages, the last being made today, the day before I move in. I have changed my address so many times in this last week and a half there's no telling where my mail is going to end up, and I'm rooming with a girl that I have not been able to reach and they have no information about, including, for example, whether or not she smokes.

Avoid The Exchange apartments in Tallahassee, FL. To begin with, my roommate and I signed out lease in late Jan./ early Feb. By April, I was notified of my apartment number and unit. On move in date, which was on Aug. 11, the leasing wouldn't give me the key because....get this... the previous residents renewed their lease after the deadline. Not only did the exchange take my 1st month rent money, which was by the way lost for a entire day, but they didn't have an apartment for us. Rudely, the unpleasant manager, Anthony assigned us to another undesired unit and room, but that room was preoccupied as well!! Finally, the issue was resolved by the asst. manager and we were successfully given an apartment after two futile attempts and four long hours of fussing and debating in the leasing office. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT EXCHANGE APARTMENTS. It's ran like a hotel... they just give out rooms whenever they feel like it to whom ever they feel like it regardless if you've signed a lease or not! - Ms. C
