The Exchange, unfortunately, is a really horrible place to live. DO NOT let the facade of the front drive, clubhouse, and model apartment persuade you into thinking the place is really nice...which is what my roomates and I unfortunately did.
(1) Our A/C went out in the middle of summer and it took more than a week for them to contact maintenance to fix, what is supposedly an emergency repair...we had to call the office everyday until we were finally so fed up that my roomates and I went to the office and had them call the maintenance in front of us.
(2) Besides a/c...nothing EVER gets fixed...my roomate had a leaking faucet until...oh...until her dad drove up and fixed it.
(3) People have dogs and they leave their dogs' crap all over the grounds and now there is dog food all over the walkways and stairs...not only do you have to see it...you have to smell it.
(4) The staff are rude and they are incompetent...a few times they've told me I couldn't get a receipt that said the month I paid rent in because that wasn't their policy although the months before and later after I had the month on the receipt.
(5) We re-signed ONLY because they said they weren't going to raise our rent if we signed by a certain date...and not only did they raise it without telling us...they then waited three months to tell us they had raised it and then charged us a fee for not paying the raised rent and then showed us the lease we had signed...with a different rent amount than what we had signed for.
(6) Internet is free, but more often than not the connection is down...really great for homework.
(7) I cannot emphasis enough how incompetent and rude the staff is. There may be like one person, who is even remotely professional.
(8) Living on the first floor there are two more floors with apartments above us and they throw their trash off their balconies and land in the bushes by ours. The Exchange actually tried to tell us to pick up all of the cigarette butts and trash or they would charge us for each individual cigarette they picked up and NO ONE in my apartment smokes and we rarely go on the balcony because of the horrid smell.
(9) They give you a gate remote and an access card and the gate has worked maybe two weeks in the year and a half I've lived here. Now the access card is also useless because the key pads have been deactivated.
(10) Also if you ever live here...make sure you mark EVERYTHING that is wrong on the maintenace sheet they give you because we made the mistake of leaving little things off and they want to charge us for it.
(11) Finally, don't plan on enjoying your showers...the hot water usually runs out in less than ten minutes...at ANY time of day.

I'm sure there is more, but I feel like that is an adequate description of this apartment complex.
