University Heights Tallahassee - Exchange of Florida State

Upon arriving, I was already already to find a new apartment. Don't let the clubhouse appearance fool you. This place is awful. Upon moving in, the A/C was broken, couch was torn to shreds, and not even clean. The coffee table had 3 legs, there were dead bugs all over the place, and restrooms appeared to have urine all over them. With the A/C being off for who knows how long, the apartment smelled of dog urine and cigarette smoke. My bedroom door was kicked in with the deadbolt placed on my bed in pieces. I filed maintainence requests the get these items fixed several times, but they seem to disappear one you fill them out.
My door still has not been fixed to this day. The most they did was put a steel reinforcement plate on it and another deadbolt. However, they didn't even give me a key to my own door. This is absolutely unprofessional and rediculous. In addition, our dryer, did not shut off. It was not replaced until I mentioned calling the Fire Department since it is a fire hazard. It took three months to have the torn, stained, and smelly carpet replaced after complaining for weeks. Leading up to this, Jenny, the assistant manager said that our apartment was "not that bad" since she had seen it with her own eyes. To this day, I still have problems that have not been resolved.
The clubhouse is indeed not taken care of. The pool area is always dirty, with broken chairs and trash everywhere.
Overall, this could be a very nice complex if the management even cared about the complex itself and its tenants. This complex is abused and they are only there to collect their monthly rent. Therefore, I do not recommend this apartment community to anyone.
