I don't even know where to begin...

Let's start with the leaking bathrooms (yes, plural). Both of our upstairs bathrooms leak into the rooms below. We have reported this to management no less then six times. Their idea of "fixing" it is to tell us to stop splashing water on the floors and the to replace the drywall in the ceilings where the leaks show so you don't notice the leaks for a week. We now just keep buckets downstairs under the leaks.

The floor in the half bath downstairs has cracked (like one side settled) and popped tiles from the floor.

The insulation is so poor that in the summer our light bill runs $350 and that only cools the downstairs during the day to around 80 and the upstairs is still to hot to be in.

It eats light bulbs. They constantly blow out. The whole wiring of the place is old or substandard or both. Our neighbor had a problem when every time he tried to iron he'd trip a breaker, and the whole complex seems to lose power every time it rains.

We've been there two years and seen two rent increases with no improvement in living conditions or quality of workmenship. I've taken to fixing everything that goes wrong in the apartment because it's easier to deal with then trying to get management to take care of anything.

And we've had some of the worst neighbors, always fighting, blasting loud music or their tv's at five in the morning. This morning I was woken at 6 to the sound of a car horn trying to get their attention, then some dude beating on the door screaming to be let in. He finally took to throwing things at the window...

I've also had my car egged twice, and my roommate had the taillights of his van smashed out.

On the plus side, they do actually keep the grounds looking nice, and the location isn't too bad, but it's certainly not worth living there.

why on earth did you stay more than I year? I just don't know if I could have handled that.
