I lived here for almost 4 years. It wasn't too bad until the property was sold, and went through two management companies in the span of about three months. There was a pipe leaking through my closet ceiling, and the 'maintenance' guy fixed it no less than four times. When they finally got the pipe to stop leaking, I was left with a two foot hole in my ceiling, which I finally stopped trying to get patched after about 6 months. Our kitchen sink kept backing up due to old/bad pipes, so we would get a sink full of nasty stuff when someone upstairs would run his kitchen faucet or run the dishwasher. Nobody ever showed up to fix it. Things really went bad when they allowed the roofing crew to stay temporarily (2 months) in the apartment above ours. None of them spoke any english, so it was useless to try and get them to stop playing Flamenco music at 3 am. Complaining to the office was no help.
Expect NO communication from the office staff - I came home one day to find all of the stuff that was on my back porch moved out about 10 feet so they could paint. I came home one Friday afternoon to find the back porch fully screened in. It was fun moving our grill THROUGH the apartment to be able to use it.
We finally moved out two months ago, and what's funny is that there were three other apartments moving out at the same time. I have not received anything regarding my security deposit yet, but I did receive a water/sewer bill. Water and sewer were provided by the complex, apparently until last month. When I called the service to find out why I was receiving a bill when water was provided, they mentioned that they have received literally hundreds of angry calls - apparently the office never told anyone that water/sewer were no longer going to be provided, as of April 1.
The parking lot is extremely dark, and I was often uneasy about going out after dark alone. You will hear every single noise from your neighbors, especially upstairs neighbors. The office staff seems to change every few months, but they never seem to get anyone competent or friendly. Forget about them remembering anything about you.
