Brechenridge looks good and is well kept outside. The interiors of the apartments are starting to show their age and most students are moving into the new complexes, so the quality of tenants has declined. They have dropped the rent to keep people, but I would rather pay a few extra dollars and have them do some interior upgrades, because the exterior and location are great. There is the ususal student noise, especially on weekends, but I hear it's mild comppared to some student complexes. Being so close to campus is a real plus. If management tells you they will replace the carpet when you move in, you best take it as a sales pitch. My biggest recommendation would be to come with your own roommates, because even though they say that they "professionally match" you, they give you who ever signs the next lease, meaning you will likely get three pigs for roommates if you are a guy, and you can't do a thing about it. The maitenance people respond in a timely manner and the office staff is helpful. There is some crime in the general area, so make sure you park your car in a well lit area. I'm here for my second year, and I would stay next year if I could find decent roommates or if they would at least give me ones that specify they would like to clean the place once in a while. But I am tired of cleaning up behind one roommate after another, so I will be moving when this lease is up.
