There are sexual predators here

This place has been having sexual predator cases for a very long time; however, the leasing office will argue that "they are not the ones to provide security; but the police is." The office also says: "this predator is going to the next apt's complexes too, so it isn't just in our complex!" They care more about the money than any human being's life and because of their greediness, they would still not let you break the lease and move out even if you have become a victim of the sexual predator. Unbelievable' Well, it's true. It happened to a tenant who is a friend of mine and we both typed this message.

For future reference, constructive eviction is your friend: http://real-estate-law.freeadvice.com/landlo if they knew about the sexual predator and didn't share this with you; or weren't going to provide security, and didn't share it with you; then they misrepresented a material fact about the apartment you were contracting for. That makes the rental contract void from its inception which, to put it simply, means they can't enforce it against you. If you read this, I would heartily encourage contacting an attorney to file suit. I'm a defense attorney, but I can think of some good plaintiff's attorneys in the area who could help. |
