I happen to be one of the tenants who had their place broken into withithout force. Yes looks like an inside job but was proven wrong by high tech key tracking system in office that showed nobody had taken a key to my place in over 6 months ago when I place a repair in my apt. Just two nights ago on news saw a story on chan.10 that said same thing that mgr said...new key that bad guys have now that will fit any lock and adapt to lock unlock and let theves run in and grab and go like an inide job. Check with Hills.County Police Dept. several apt communites hit along with nice homes in South Tampa area. So before you quickly blame staff as inside job as I was to do maybe get with Hills.Cty Police Dept or watch the news. Crooks are always finding ways to rob and get away with it and the inocent look the worst then the damage is done! I apologize for not believing but have done the research and found maybe it was not the maintenance guys or office staff after all!

The only lock that can't be opened with the tool you describe is called a MEDECO lock. It's very pricey, about $150.00, but it can't even be drilled out.
