I have lived here going on two years. After my lease is up I am on my way out. I will start with some positive things:

1. I am VERY shocked that this is one the only places that I have not had to worry about bugs. And looking at the surroundings and how old the cabinets look inside with the old wood I would have thought this place would be crawling with insects. I have actually left food out, dirty dishes sometimes and NEVER have I ever had that turn on the lights and run thing with roaches or ANYTHING.

2. I like the size of the bedroom. I am in a one bed small and it's pretty roomy. I have a huge queen sleigh bed, 2 chests, small comp desk and 2 mini rocking reclinder chairs and it all fits fine. The closet is a bit old and small tho.

You see there was only two good points right' On to the bad

1. when I 1st moved in here I lived by the pool. On the very 1st day of move in on the bottom floor my roof started leaking. The lady upstairs had a messed up dishwasher which didnt drain properly. When I asked management about what happened if my things had been damaged the lady responded with "well why would you have anything by the closet'" I was like WHAT' Are you serious'! The leak was by the closet which was a good wall to put stuff by. I couldn't believe that was their response! Good thins I was just still moving in and the bedroom was empty. water had run all down the walls in the closet, in the bedroom, the walls were stained and the carpent was soaked. We moved into another apt and it was better. No problems thank goodness. I couldn't deal with another dumb@$$ response like that.

2. My husbands car was broken into and they couldn't even steal a radio correctly. They tried to take his CD player but couldn't. What really got me was that it wasn't even fully DARK outside yet! They broke the little back window and if u notice there will be a lot of taped up back windows around here. I got a new car and am constantly looking out the windows because I'm so afraid of what the ppl around here will do to it. I almost WAITED to buy a car just because I didnt want it sitting here on this lot!

3. Everything is really old, they painted the tile in the shower. It looked nice at 1st before i realized it was paint. Now the paint is all dirty from the water and it's chipping. They try to thickly paint everything and calk everything to make it look white and right again.

Honestly, my experience here hasn't been too bad. I do consider myself one of the lucky ones, tho. My suggestion is to get an apt facing the outside street. I think if I lived facing inside or towards the back it would be prime to be broken into. Have your steering wheel locked AND a club AND alarm on your car. They no longer have cable included just as a FYI. Ew, I was actually thinking of moving into a two bedroom here. I saw an empty apt to see what it looked like and it was DISGUSTING. I couldn't BELIEVE they would show a prospective renter this apt. It smelled like dog piss, it was even older looking then the one bedrooms (they are the newer development) and ugh it was just gross. I was in amazment that I was actually considering it. Anyway, if you are going to move anywherearound here move next door to meridian. at least I have seem them blanket the apts for bug control, fix the roof, painted the gate.. they actually maintain their property! Rent is a little more but worth it. There have been many complaints around here about termites but nothing has been done. I myself haven't seen any.. not that I'd know what to look for. Overall.. if you can help it, move somewhere else. But if you like the ghetto atmosphere, have a car so old no one would look at twice, enjoy loud music booming by your window and enjoy the frequent poweroutage for fun then you might actually find that this place is worth calling home

PS. P.S. Lots of people complain about the drugs. I personally haven't seen it but I definitely wouldnt doubt it! I just go to work, come home and mind my business. Also, I have read the complaints about the washer and dryers and personally I have never ever even tried to use them. THe laudry rooms are horrible and I just go down the street to the laundromat. Don't even risk it here!
