What is up with a $78 water bill' Before I moved here, my usage was measured individually and two people used $15 a month, and I took a shower 2x a day! I come to Camden, and it's $78! You mean to tell me that the average household here uses 6x more than the average household'! Someone's making a profit, and it's not the water company.

AGREED! I'm at another Camden property in the same area and it's the same. Notice that the bill is generated by and paid to Camden... NOT the Hillsborough County Water Dept. SHADY, SHADY, SHADY.
When I got my first water bill, I almost passed out. The office staff said it's based on the square footage of your apartment... NOT your usage. So it doesn't matter if you conserve water or not. They are "unable" to provide me with a breakdown at the local office. They gave me a number to the corporate office but so far, I have gotten nowhere.
Are we also paying for the water in the pool and the sprinkler system? THIS TICKS ME OFF TO NO END!!!!!!!!!! HOW IS IT EVEN LEGAL TO BILL SOMEONE WITHOUT PROVIDING AN ACCURATE BREAKDOWN?????????

LOL I didnt realize this was an issue with all Camden properties. I currently stay at Camden Bay on west Hillsborough and my water bill ranges from $45-51. Its outrageous and there is no way out of it. Whats even more crazy than that is now they are making all tenats that renew their lease get a cable package. Its now part of the lease!!! How is that possibly leagal either? Its $37 and some change extra each month. Basically the way they break it down here is that on top of whatever your rent is you have to pay the $37 for the cable, $50 for water, $30 for trash pick up and if you want a washer & dryer thats anoter $40. So my rent for my 650 sq ft apt went from $679/mnth to $836/mnth! Thats an extra $157!!! lol its f'in crazy here how they try to nickel and dime you for every little thing extra. Most places here the water comes included in the rent, and even some include a washer and dryer already. I know the washer and dryer here is an optional addition to your monthly cost, but the cable??? COME ON!!! I already pay good money to live here and I dont have cable for a reason, becasue I dont watch it! I work full time & go to school full time, I dont have any spare time to sit in front of the tv for hours, if I did then I would already have my own cable package. This cable package thing irritates me much more than the water bill because I obviously need water, so since I have to pay so much for it I use it like crazy, but the cable is not a neccesity, its a luxury & I dont feel I should have to be FORCED to pay for it. My lease is up in October & I was going to renew it, or transfer to another apartment here, was even willing to pay more per month for a bigger one, but then after talking with the office today and I found out that I have to get the cable package with my new lease it all left a bad taste in my mouth. Not to mention that if I did stay here and transfered to another apartment I would have to pay a new $400 pet fee, I just paid $300 14 months ago when I signed my previous lease... This place really does try to get money from you from every angle.
