this was our second apartment, we were wanting to upgrade to 2/2 so we decided to move here. At first glance, the place seems great, I was on the secod floor so i had the vaulted ceilings, and it had a garden tub, and it was quiet and new looking. Well move in day came and while we were moving in our things, the neighbors were moving out. They said to us that they are so glad to get out, and that our apartment and theirs had been broken into around x-mas time, and in result, they put a second lock that can only be accessed from the inside. So besides that the place seemed great, i loved the floorplan, the rooms were big enough to fit my king and queen beds with computer desks and such. while we were hanging out on the porch one night, we noticed some college aged kids arguing in the street, they sounded drunk and were very loud and made a scene, then the cops showed up and we gave them our statements and that was that, but the problem was that camden has a deal with hcc and international academy of design to lower their rent rates to students there so it is like a big dorm, they put 4 kids together in a 2/2 and they fight all the time. the other problem we had was with bees on our screened porch, there were thousands, and we called maintenance and they came out three times to terminate them, but they kept comming back, the other problem we had was with our a/c unit, it leaked into the downstairs apartment, and froze up alot, we called and they came out and fixed it after hours, so that was nice. i liked the fact that they had real tile in the entry and kitchen ways and track lighting in the dining area. It is true about the trash area, at least one day a week the trash compound would be so full the trash was left out on the walk way to the area and looked very bad, and the gate was always broken. Although this may sound like a bad review, it was not a bad place to live, i would have stayed there but my rent went from 785 to 885 in the year i was there and to renew they wanted 925 a month, i thought that was too much for renting, so we decided to look for a house, then the bubble came and we are stuck again and renting, but i would tell others about camden, it was not all that bad when we were there and if anything, we were the ones making the noise, i had a bad habbit of turning up my stereo when i cleaned and my neighbor worked nights, so he was constantly banging on my floor, his ceiling for me to turn it down. (oops)
