I had a huge water bill for several months. When people aren't aware of their usuage it's easy for the apt complexes to charge whatever it is that you will pay for. The bill I got from them was I used 4000 gallons of water in one month (family of one)! After forcing the issue over the next few months they brought someone in to look at the problem. My claim was I should have a pool here if 1 person used so much water. Well, they told me water is based on the "ave" use of a family in your building! So in retrospect, I'm paying for others to use water.
Then that still was outrageous use so with more investigation it was found that Cameden hooked up a hose to water the front of the property EVERY NIGHT and the spiget was hooked up to my water meter. After several months to identify how much I actually used they adjusted my bill to my ave usuage.
CAMEDEN also told me that the pool and watering has to be paid by the residents. BTW Camden properties at least at that time was noted the #1 water violator in Flordia. It's cheaper to pay fines then pay someone to replace all that sod. I think the fines should be raised.
