BE CAUTIOUS!! Camden recently procured water utility billing from the utility company. Prior to this water utilities were billed to the tenants directly from the Utility Company but are now billed directly to Camden. Camden then bills the customer. Consequently, Our utility bills have gone up from before. With this move Camden is now passing the burden of its own utility usage off to the tenants. In addition, if a tenant is 3 days late on payment of a utility bill, there is a $50.00 late fee. What makes this unusual is that when an apartment bills the customers for utilities, it is because all apartments are not metered. But the infrastructure exists at Camden already. This is one of many ways Camden passes its operational costs onto its tenants. So if you think you are getting a great apartment for a good price, think twice!! ...There ought to be a law.
