It was the most awful and scary year of my life. My car was robbed and vandalized on two separate occasions within a month. My housemate's bike was stolen. A neighbor threatened my person several times. The noise was unbearable. Maintenance was awful except for our last two months. They would mark our complaints as fixed and closed even though they had never even came to the apartment to look at the problem. We could not use one of our bathrooms for over a week because the tub leaked! Then, when it was finally fixed, they never communicated that our bathroom was useable again. The floors peeled up and our sinks kept breaking. Ants were so bad in our apartment we had to stay in a hotel one night because they were on every surface. We tried killing them for over two hours and they still kept pouring out of the walls. The office staff, with one exception, are incredibly inconsiderate, uncaring, and forgetful. Basically, Captiva does the bare minimum the make their apartments "compliant" with Florida statute and that is it. For your own safety, security, and peace of mind, I would strongly suggest not living at Captiva Club.
