I had made an appointment at Captiva Club before I read the reviews here and was honestly thinking of just skipping it but we took a wrong turn getting to another place and found ourselves in front of it. We decided we were there and only 5 minutes later then our 'appointment', so we went in. While we were waiting for the golf cart to check out the appartment my Wife noticed a young woman that came in after us and clued her in to the many crime and trash claims made here. When we got back from viewing the open apartment she was gone, so we feel we didn't waste our time...

In either case, the apartment we were shown was going to be given to a new resident within the next two days and it looked worse then a place does when I leave it! I mean, I clean it right on the way out but this place had MANY 'dirty details' and other issues with just a casual look around. (dirty tracks in windows and sliding glass doors, uneven carpet padding, linoleum in kitchen cracked, cheap fixtures, very sparse grass outside, neglected bushes and dirty/stained entranceway) - and this is what they were showing prospective residents!

Would I consider renting there' Not if they paid me! Spend a bit more money and rent elsewhere.
