We moved in just in July, and so far our experience is very good. Very quiet at night and a surprisingly beautiful setting/view. I have seen a lot of work going on lately and my wife asked the new manager to let her know when a very important package arrived that we were waiting on, and she brought it to our home when it arrived that day.
Our kids have a big place to play too where we can watch them from our livingroom that is nothing but a green lawn and trees and a pool. This is meeting our needs even more than we thought it would.
Couple things: Kelly Road gets backed up in the morning because there are several schools. I allow myself an extra 5 minutes.
The gates are not working. Maybe with all they are doing this will be part of it.
Apartments are big. First electric bill was $172. Not too bad compared to were we moved from in St. Pete. Our final bill was $320 for an equal size apartment.
There is a couple pools (been to one in the back), a fitness center (have yet to go though), an activity center and Lori said there will be Bucs parties there when season starts. The grounds are exceptional. I saw parking for boats. Nice location, easy travel.

Ok, reality check for you...the gates havent worked in years, supposed to have been fixed within 2 weeks the whole year I was there. Wait till you get your water bill, I was paying 80 for a 1 bedroom and they refused to fix the water issue. At first the community seems nice, give it a few months!!

You've heard from someone who lived here only a year. I have been a resident for NINE years. As with any complex, because of the people who reside in it, there is always going to be some type of issue to be addressed. I have dealt with several managers here and all have been responsive (as far as Corporate allows without special permission) and especially the last manager, Jack. I haven't met Lori yet; however, Jack vouched for her, therefore, I am positive there will continue to be improvements and good communication. A few unruly residents or terrible attitudes create their own problems and often problems for others. When this happens, of course, they will not take the blame for their own actions.
It is true that the gates have not been working in a long while, but that is because every time they were repaired, some IRRESPONSIBLE (drunk, juvenile, or juvenile behavior) resident would hit them, try to beat them by coming in behind other vehicles and such. I have been told that is an issue currently being addressed and I feel will be resolved. The office staff and the maintenance staff are extremely responsive and concerned on all issues when approached with a decent attitude and expectation. I don't know who the person was with the $80 water bill, but from MY OWN PERSONAL experience, if that had been properly addressed, it would have been corrected. My water, refuse, sewer, etc. is running me less than $20 per month for 3 adults living in my apartment and has the entire 9 years. (Seems strange to me that the negative responder chose to remain "anonymous". LOL)
I would like to say to you and your family, "Welcome" to our community and based on your rating comments, you will be a very good neighbor!!

Well i too can vouch that while there the management staff was very nice.
but i also was in a 1b/1b and i also had water bill that were almost 80.00 and after recieving the 1st one i reported it to the office and told them i thought their was a break or leak in the line as i have never had a 80.00 water bill in my life! it was strange too as at first my water bills were only about 30.00 a month and then all of a sudden they went to almost 80.00...so i believe the guy who is reporting that figure. i was one person who ran the dishwasher maybe one a week and did two loads of laundry once a week...showerd once a day ...so not sure where the 80.00 water bills were coming from especially as i stated it was not like that at first.
the gates also did not work the whole time i lived there. the grounds do need work desperatly and the amount of dog crap everywhere was gross. i loved my neighbors as they were quiet and friendly. the only other problem is that my new car did get hit in the parking lot...probably someone turning around or they were drunk. because the the water bill i moved just across the street and pay almost the same amount for a much nicer and newer apartment. the grounds are beautiful and the staff again nice but i wouldnt be embarrassed to have friends coem visit me here and hang at the pool...i couldnt say the same for captiva club...the apartments are very old and the kitchens ....can you get anymore generic white? they are decent for the money. would have stayed if it werent for the landscaping or lack there of and the high water bills

You guys need to learn how to work. I have had several issues with high water bills at several apartments and I took care of it within a month. I have lived at this apartment for awhile now and it is very nice for the price. I can show you some apartments in Tampa around the same price and you would be appaled.
