I moved into Central Park in June of 2007 and am still currently here.Honestly, I have not had any problems since I've been here and have since renewed my lease.Yes,when I renewed my lease my rent did increase by $15.So starting June 1 I will be paying $814 water for my 2/2.With my income I don't think I can take another rent increase so hopefully by this time next year I will be moving into my house. They also let you choose $500 worth of new appliances(ceiling fans, carpet, painting, fridge, stove, etc) when you renew,I chose a stove, not sure when I'll see it though.
As for management, the lady that has been there since I moved in is great. As a matter of fact, she is the only one that is still there.I think they've gone through at least 3 or 4 leasing agents and maybe 2 managers in the past year, but Mayra is still there and is now the manager and she is doing a great job!
I will say that the maintenance must not be very skilled when it comes to certain repairs. My fridge has been leaking since I moved in and the main guy(very nice) has been here 2-3 times to fix it and it is still leaking because he does not try to fix it,only uses a Wet Vac to dry up the water.I think it's time for a new fridge.
There are some teenagers who hang out around the apts but I have not had any problems so far(hope it stays that way) The do have security who patrols every hour or so they are also responsible for locking up the side gates after dark.I have seen them walking through the apts as well. Not much noise although my upstairs neighbor yells at her kids ALL the time and that gets bothersome.
So, all in all I would say it is a decent place to live and would recommend it to someone who's looking.Best of all, they stay out of your business as long as you are not a trobulemaker!

THAT $500.00 WAS TO GET YOU TO RENEW. YOU WON'T GET IT. AS FOR MAINTENANCE THEY HIRE UNSKILLED PEOPLE SO THEY DO NOT HAVE TO PAY THE SALARY OF A SKILLED MAINTENANCE PERSON.

I'm sorry, but offering me new appliances is not enough to make me renew my lease. I renewed because the place is decent and I really didn't want to move anyway. And I can guarantee you that I WILL get a new fridge and stove soon.

Well, I got my upgrades a ceiling fan, two new removable shower heads, and stove. They have fixed all of the problems I have ever had at this place so I am not really too disappointed. However my new thing is the woman that used to be here Theresa has ties to gang members and let me tell you she was the one who was lowering rent and the woman in the office she said that can't happen. Two friends of mine had there leases screwed with. Plus that woman had her whole family living here which is why it was so ghetto! Let me tell you where she lives is really bad but she drove a BMW so what does that tell you. And her son has a rap sheet a mile long. Although she got transfered to a property in Manatee county I am pissed because she should have been fired for gossiping to everyone about everyones business. It was bad for a while around here. Now that all the residents banned together to get rid of her things are dying down and her family is slowly being forced to move out. They are all involved with drugs and things you don't want to even know about. Then I found out that basically half the apartment complex was moved in during her stay and she was giving half off of her minority but charging everyone else who wasn't her kind regular and higher in some cases rent! When she left some of the residents literally threw a party. I mean I got messages of when she left and everyone kept on leaving things on voice mail saying she was gone merry christmas in July! Things are quieter without her and that is how we like it.
