Lived here for over 3 years and have had enough!! Like the previous reviews, paper thin walls, every noise is echoed from the stairwells and loud, hard walking of neighbors.
The parking situation is maddening, sometimes you literaly have to park so far from your building it's crazy just to find a spot.
The gates work half the times, and security is non-exisistant, especially around the pool area, were people from god knows where just show up and threaten other residents, I know of people getting assaulated just going to the coke machine!! I was told from a police officer friend, that gangs have taken up residenency, wonderful! No wonder the police have to stop a hip-hop pool party, they were going to air on myspace, u-tube! I do blame the management staff for not being picky or choosy who they rent to.
When I moved in it was REQUIRED to have a background check, a DMV check, and alot of references.
With the new management anyone who can afford the "discounts" they offer are automatically a resident, I have come home late and seen groups of men hanging around cars''! I had to call the police on one and more occassions, and deal with punk --- kids, who don't respect the speed limit in the community and gave a sh** how they drive around here! Sorry, but two thumbs way down for the community that has gone way down!!!!

I don't understand how ghetto people can be living in apartments where the rent starts at over $800 for a 1-bedroom?

"Ghetto" people can afford to live anywhere as long as you sell drugs, deal drugs, or have a decent money-making family member.
It is the quality of the people that make areas go bad, which is why Tampa has only a few good areas to live. In this economy right now, it's more about "can you pay the rent" more than "what type of person are you?".
