Good, Not Great

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2004
I have lived at Countrywood for three years.
Here's my experience:
1. Bugs. I live in Florida and have for twenty years. My experience is that the warm, humid weather causes 'bug incidents' during the summer. Usually it's sugar ants. Every summer, once a month or so they try and invade. During my time at Countrywood Management's response was somewhat lukewarm. But the ants were easy enough to get rid of on my own and the rest of the year everything was fine.
2. Parking. I agree, it can be an issue if you arrive past 7:00 p.m. or so.
3. Management. Can be lukewarm and appear uncaring at times. They do address your concerns, they just don't seem very concerned when they do so.
4. Maintenance. I have always had a response time of 1-5 business hours on each request. Never been more than that. The only thing is they can be very relucant to REPLACE an appliance before trying to repair it a half a dozen times or so.
5. Crime and security. In three years, I have had one car break-in. (I say 'break in,' but I left the car unlocked, which was silly of me.) Countrywood is on Dale Mabry which is a busy street, and is surrounded by many resturants, and clubs. But it's also in Carrollwood, which is one of the safer areas in Tampa. There is no such thing as crimeless area. My experience though is that I don't see police around all the time, I'm not afraid to walk to my car in the middle of the night, and I have never seen drugs or drug related activity.
6. Grounds. Okay, not perfect.
7. Apartment size - fairly small, but it's comparable to the rent you are paying. I wish they would have designed the one bedroom kitchen with a little more room.
Worst issue: Management needs to be a little more customer service focused.
Best Issue: Security.
