Kind of like living in the Projects

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2007
We moved in the end of June 2007. At first it was pretty nice because we were originally in a 1 bedroom apartment. The thing I like most is the split bedroom plan. Needless to say, there are issues with the plumbing (toilets running over & bathtubs not draining). When we moved in there was a huge piece of plaster sticking up over the drain in one of the tubs. It was because there was a large chunk of the tub ceramic taken off (probably due to someone dropping something heavy etc...). Well, it was not patched porbably. I had to report it numerous times before it was ever taken care of. Then someone from maintenance just painted over the huge area, in addition to painted over the drain. Of course, now there was now way for the water to drain out. This too had to be reported many times, before it was finally fixed right. After about 4 months we could finally use both bath tubs.
In addition to these problems, I found the apartment on Apartment Renters, but it took forever to get the money from apartment renters because Country Wood did not foolow through on their part. I had to keep calling them and apartment renters for about 3 weeks for the office manager to finally get it right.
Our next door neighbors are up all night drinking, partying, and being as loud as ever and I can not sleep. I reported them numerous times and was assured they'd be warned. This did not solve anything. Our upstairs neighbors have kids over every other week-end who jump on the floors and roller blade above our heads. This goes on from early in the morning until late at night. We sometimes feel like we live in the projects because of the people who live around us with no concern for others. And the office seems to not care about the good renters.
If I had known about these reviews before we moved in, we would not be here now. These sites are good and I would recommend anyone to read and trust them before they make a bad decision. We will definitely be moving out when our lease is up.
