This place is aweful! About half way into our lease the apartment complex decided to go condo and much to their dismay, there are more vacant "condos" than occupied. Not to mention, they had to go back to leasing some because they are hurting for money.
I signed a year lease and when my lease was up and they still charged me an extra $900 because I did not give them notice I was leaving. When your lease is up, doesnt that mean you are leaving. If I wanted to renew my lease, wouldnt I have let them know prior to my lease being up'
Joke!
The people that run are VERY rude and not easy to work with.
I would not recommned this apartment/"condo" to ANYONE!
Beware of aweful management!

WRONG! This is completely your fault. You need to read documents you sign. You are required to give notice upon vacating. With a year lease I believe Florida law requires 60 days notice (your lease may say only 30 days which is why you should always read these things). When you don't give notice, you become a month to month tenant and a whole new set of rules apply depending on what your previous lease states about that specifically.

Hopefully you learned a lesson...sorry it cost you almost $1,000.

I would side witn anonymous-I can only imagine how bad this place sucks after seeing the first hand how the place down the street was run under that shift. Garden should be ashamed to call themselves management. More like slum-lords if you ask me!

In my experience when a community goes condo you are not allowed to notify the residents until the property is completely sold to the new management company. Anything can happen in the process like the deal falling through, just like buying a house. As for giving your notice, Florida statute states that you are required to give a 60 day written notice and you are responsible to pay rent until it is re-rented(if breaking the lease) and should you not give 60 day written notice then you will be charged a fee of no more than one month's rent plus any concessions that you were receiving.

VERY GOOD RESPONSES!! BEFORE YOU GO OUT INTO THE ADULT WORLD YOU BETTER LEARN HOW TO READ WHAT YOU SIGN! ANY PERSON WITH COMMON SENSE KNOWS YOU HAVE TO GIVE SIGNIFICANT NOTICE WHEN VACATING A RENTAL!! WELCOME TO THE ADULT WORLD!! SOUNDS LIKE IT'S GOING TO BE A VERY COSTLY WORLD FOR YOU ALL!!
