The apartment layout is nice, kitchen a little small, but otherwise nice layout. All 3 bedrooms are generous in size, which is perfect for roomate situations. Crown molding throughout makes it look nicer than many other apartments. Pool area is nice, gym decent, and parking was never a problem at my building.

Now for the CONs (or pun intended, con-artist). First, you can hear way too much outside noise. I lived on third floor and could hear people just talking outside. Nevermind when people goofing around at night and getting loud. The master bedroom was the worst. It is next to the stairwell and you can hear everything. A definite NO if you work nights. Nobody did in our household thank god. Secondly, water pressure is horrible. Any less and it would be nonexistent. Never seen such horrible water pressure. Now, aside from ammenity issues, there is management. From day one they were not very friendly, but hell I have thick skin. The straw that broke the camel's back was when we moved out. Prior to moving out I submitted a short letter of intent stating we would not be renewing our lease. On that letter was my new address. Months go by and I start realizing that we never received anything from them in a way of our deposit. So I called them and to my surprise find out that we owed them for new carpet. A whopping $1100. And since it was around 3 months they sent it to collections. Isn't that nice of them. They said they will never call, they only send certified letter to the apartment's address. My mail was set up to be forwarded by the post office and I never got jack. The only thing we knew of was that the carpet had a tear in its seem meeting the foyer. Not a complete carpet job like they said. We are now unable to see this damaged carpet or even the fact that the carpet was replaced. We have no proof and now we have to payoff the collection agency. To make it worse, these jerks never even empatized with the fact we never got their letter. They are so cold about everything. Every time I called they said I will need to pull your file, I'll give you a call back later, or I'll call you tomorrow. Days go by and no call. And they are new management. Isn't that joke. They are just as bad as the old. Read the other reviews and you'll hear the same. The tenants next to me got robbed. Just a few expensive items like 2 or 3 laptops. They were college students and each had their own. Oh yeah, the 3rd floor. And I believe it occured in the morning. It very much looked like an inside job according to them and the police. This was around the begining of 2006. Stay away. These apartments are not worth it, and to buy, forget about it. They are not condos, they are apartments. SROlYjGrgm2VnM-SactV

If you never received a letter stating that they were making a claim on your security deposit, then you are entitled to your security deposit. If they don't follow the law, which apparently they haven't based on your post, they cannot keep your security nor can they report you to collection agencies or post it on your credit files. Without that security claim letter they lost all rights to any money in damages from you. But...if they have proof of delivery of that letter, you are out that money.

IF I KNEW THERE WAS SOMETHING LIKE A TEAR IN THE CARPET I THINK I WOULD MAKE SURE AND WALK THE APARTMENT WITH THEM TO MAKE SURE THAT I WAS GETTING SOMETHING BACK AS FAR AS A DEPOSIT. SOME PEOPLE THINK ITS JUST "A LITTLE TEAR" BUT USUALLY THAT MEANS ALOT MORE!!! I'VE BEEN IN LEASING AND I KNOW 1ST HAND HOW PEOPLE MAKE A "LITTLE" END UP BEING ALOT!!!
