My husband and I moved to Fairway Oaks in Dec of 2004 and have been living here ever since. We are about to move but not at the fault of the apartment complex. We were both students and this was a very convenient location to USF and its shuttle route. The amount of space is awesome for the value. The master bedroom is spacious with a spacious closet and ceiling to floor mirrors, which was nice! It is an overall quiet community that is composed of a mix of all kinds of people, old and young, singles, couples, families, different races. We lived on the bottom floor and did hear our neighbor above us but I think that's pretty normal. Parking was never a problem as long as you have your parking permit sticker or else beware of a bunch of parking violation notes on your car! The office staff was always pleasant and helpful. We never had any problems. Maintenance were always working! Any problems we had were taken care of immediately and if we weren't home they would leave a note. Every month there is a social gathering, which we never had a chance to partake in but just the fact that the community offers it is nice. Some of the downsides were that every now and then there was a roach problem. The complex does pest control like every month or every two months. The apartments are overall old but well-maintained. I personally did not think too much of the kitchen. The oven and dishwasher were a little old and the cabinets were old looking too. Hmmm...I think thats about it. :)
