DONT LET THE BEDBUGS BITE

This place is NOT what it appears to be. If your interested in living in a community where you can NEVER get things taken care of in a timely manner this is just the place to be. If you want to have BEDBUGS yes bedbugs just come on by. There have been several apartments in the community which needed to be treated for them. People come into the office itching, bright red and have bite marks all over the body and all the manager will tell them is that it is a very serious problem and really expensive to treat. you have to get rid of all your bedding, wash everything and hope that you don't get them again. Oh and the treatment is at your expense. Yes your apartment will not be treated unless you choose to pay all at once or make monthly payments. So take your chances with the bugs if you would like to.

The property manager ---- is never in the office and when she is she still not really there. You can be sitting in the office waiting on her & still she puts you on the back burner because she on her cell phone or taken care of personal business. (her cell phone is number one priority.) According to the rules in the fitness center you must be 16 or older to be in there without supervision well that only applies to anyone NOT related to her. Her children bring in video games and hook them up to the television. So if their in the fitness center and I walk in to workout I'm stuck watching a bunch of kids under the age of 9 jump around & play games while I try to work out. Mind you no another child in the community is allowed to do this. Lets just say thats her own personal daycare. So tell me how do you except someone to properly manager a community this size when she never there, always on the phone, & taking care of children when she should be handling her duties as a manager.
Please do not call or go in the office at the end of a month hoping to speak to her or looking for her to answer your questions because thats just NOT likely to happen. Theres a big sign on the door which tells you not to disturb her. If I pay rent each month why cant you help me'''
I mean some people may like the way she runs a community .. (mainly MEN) She uses some of the models as her own personal motel 6. yes, Its true Ive witness this personally. she walks in with a man spends hours and walks out looking like shes just had a GOOD time. I'm sure you can get your turn.. just ask the maintenance staff they all know what goes on.

As far as the apartment goes what you read in the guide is false advertisement. New wall to wall carpet, well that depends you may have that in the living room but your bedroom carpet may be a couple years old. Or maybe the other way around. Or just maybe you may have carpet that has been dyed a couple times. Im paying almost $750 for an apartment that looks like it worth $500.00 if that. Water should cost me about $30 I got a bill once for $109 in a one bedroom apartment. I complained
and was told it was because had washer & dryer connections, I was still confused I wash once a week and I'm not home during the day because i work so where does a bill that high come from' I guess the owner gets a little profit. I lived in a downstairs apartment and heard everything my neighbors did. but nothing could be done until the person upstairs moved out I was told they had to tighten the floor shouldn't that have been taken care of before i moved in'' If for some odd reason you still want to come to this place MAKE SURE YOU SEE THE ACTUAL UNIT YOUR MOVING INTO, because the apartment you get may not look as nice as the model that you saw.I mean the apartment I saw had nice carpet, the cabinets were clean, the closet door were sliders with mirrors, the same tile in the entire apt and the appliance all matched But what I moved into was the opposite. Getting your security deposit back may be a problem because they nickel and dime you. well some people. I had friends who lived here and got their deposit back and they left the apartment in the same condition I left mine in. so whats the problem''' Maybe they went to the motel 6 and worked a few things out.

By the way Ive heard that some of the reviews on here where written by employees. Who better to write a review about a place then a person being paid to do so.

It is sad that a disgruntled TERMINATED EMPLOYEE would make these false allegations, but given her maturity level, it was expected. Fairway Oaks Property Manager
From: TLCManagement Date: 01/14/2009
It was necessary to terminate two employees for good cause. These individuals lived on property prior to and during their employment. Plus they had friends and relatives join our community. So I guess they didn't think Fairway Oaks was such a terrible place. These two individuals, unfortunately, were not meeting the high quality standards required by their employer, TLC Management, LLC, and therefore were terminated. In retaliation, one, if not both, of them have embarked on a vindictive campaign to destroy the good name of Fairway Oaks Apartments and those who made the determination to terminate them. These retaliatory vindictive 'resident' evaluations make it evident that their dismissals were fully justified. Trying to defend oneself against the 'trash talk' initiated by these disgruntled terminated employees will serve no constructive purpose. All that TLC Management can ask is that you read the many earlier reviews. Only then will you get a true picture of what our quality community is all about. Visit with us and we are confident you wil be happy that you made that decision. YOU DECIDE

Ok is this bed bug thing real? I am looking for an apartment by USF and this looks like a good deal. I would think if there was that big of a problem with them more people would have mentioned them but I could be wrong. Some one help me out here. Its hard to know what to beleive and not to beleive on reviews.
