Pros, Cons and Moving on
From: -Anonymous-Date posted: 1/17/2006
Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006
Pros:
Nice Pool,
Large laundry area in clubhouse,
Decent but small workout room,
Free boat/trailer parking near free boat ramp,
overall quiet residence,
Nice apartment layouts. vaulted ceilings,
HUGE Balconies on 2br apartments,
Close to USF,
Good car wash and Vac area.
CONS:
=====
Abysmal maint. of property and apartments.
Poorly qualified Maint Staff. (slow response, multiple trips to resolve issues, give excuses (like "corp wont authorize it") for not repairing major expense issues.
Ancient appliances.
Empty beer bottles and general litter everywhere.
Abandoned cars & boats everywhere.
The "spa" attached to the pool has not worked in over a year.(false advertising)
Non existant playground. (false advertising)
Racquetball/handball courts are cracked, unmarked, and flithy.
Basketball court has cracked and warped asphalt, missing backboard and basket.
Tennis courts are cracked and warped with plant life growing out of the cracks; no nets.
Notes:
======
Please come visit the model! Make note of the green mold on the sidewalk to the model, the plant life growing in the gutters above the MODEL building entry. Take a stroll through the boat storage area and view all the derelict boats, check the racquetball, basketball, and tennis courts for yourself. Goto the spa (which is simply part of the pool with built-in seats) and feel the non functional jets. Go ahead sign the lease they will tell you this is all under new management and will be repaired "soon" (not).
watch out for the bait and switch -dont expect to get the apartment you looked at. Make a maint. request and count the number of times it takes for them to get it right (or give you a excuse why it shouldnt be repaired).
Dont just walk in look at the model and sign up like we did. Were are moving out of here as soon as the lease is up. Not worth the aggravation and stress; nor the nearly $1000/month rent.`
