First off, I want to remind everyone where this neighborhood is. Don't look here if you expect upscale, secure or new.

But to be fair, Granada Apts. are HUGE for the money! I've lived here for three years now and I'm still staying. I've been through two management companies, and while maintenance tends to be understaffed, they will get to you. If you're polite and friendly, they'll get to you sooner than if you're nasty and demanding. You make your own bed there.

Yes, it's older, as are many of the places around here. But again, HUGE for the money by comparison. Minor issues with potholes in the parking lot and occasional drain blockage or A/C issues. The biggest complaint is not enough parking for the 3/2's. (Only 2 spots per apt. regardles of size.) But there is a grassy lot at the back where you can park third vehicles. Just don't have a beater or expired tags or it will get towed!

I've heard of occasional issues (break-in's, etc.) but nothing in the years since they fixed the fence between us and the neighboring complex. That seems to be where most of the worst problems come from. There is also at least one cop who lives in the complex. The complex is very small so it's easy to get around and know people if you want to.

Maintenance isn't the best, but the management staff is friendly and tries hard. But they're the best apartments I found in the neighborhood for the price range that allow pets AND have full size washer/dryer hookups.
