I lived here for 2.5 weeks in December of 2003 and HAD to leave. First, the grounds are not well kept. The day i moved in I noticed that someone had spilled food on the steps outside of my apartment and it sat there until it dried up. Also maintenance does not come by with a leaf blower to remove debris from the grounds. The grounds are also very dark at night.

The layout of the living room was weird and inconvenient to set up. The appliances were older and cheap looking. My living room got no sun.

I would've put up with all of the above b/c the rent was reasonable but it got worse. My apartment was infested with ants. The floors in the apartment were slanted and buckled in several places. The noise level was unbelievable. If the people upstairs moved an inch, I could hear it. If i sat in my bathroom, I could hear the conversations of the people next door in stereo sound.

What ultimatley made me move out so quickly was that the apartment began to make me physically sick. There was a weird smell in the master bedroom and no matter how much I cleaned, it didn't go away. First, it irritated my throat, then it developed into a serious cough. My in-laws came to visit and they immediately noticed the smell and within 48 hours, they had also developed a cough. Within 24hrs of moving out, our symptoms disappeared.

The staff was helpful, in that they recognized the problem and came to clean the carpet in the bedroom, but I suspect that if you pulled the carpet up, you would find mold or mildew. I say this because after leaving a toilet unused for a couple of days, I would open the lid to find spores on the water.

Despite the other positive reviews and the nice staff, I would NOT even consider living there unless it is all you can afford.
