This place sucks!

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006
I've been here for 6 months now and I am not at all happy. First of all, when I first moved in the apartment wasn't ready. They gave me the wrong keys, the dishwasher was broken, the washer hook up leaked, the screen was broken and the place was a mess. There was hair inside the drawers in my bathroom, which wasn't clean at all. It took about a week to get everything taken care of.
The neighborhood is pretty ghetto and since its right next to usf, there's college kids making noise and partying all the time. Which leads to the next big problem- the noise. It is ridiculous how late my neighbors play their music (2 different neighbors too) and how well I can hear it- not just the bass but the lyrics and the stupid radio dj. Then of course, theres the loud car stereos and sirens, but you can't really escape that anymore.
Parking is a joke. If you come home after 5 pm it is nearly impossible to find a spot anywhere your building and people park all over the place- in the grass, next to curbs, in the fire lanes and the management does nothing about it. I've even e-mailed the management company about it and they didn't even reply.
The maintenance people are ineffectual to say the least. They never call before entering, even though I have repeatedly asked and it takes multiple visits to fix problems correctly. I have to say that they are very nice and friendly though (but nice won't fix my water heater).
The best things about Hidden Palms are 1. The price ($650 for a 1 bedroom) and 2. The staff-they are very nice, even if they don't do much.
Overall, I would not recommend this place, unless you needed some thing really cheap. Just remember- you get what you pay for!
