Island Walk formerly Parker's Landing
< | >
I moved in just over a month ago and I really have very little to complain about. The park situation has improved greatly since the repaving of the parking lots. The reserved parking has changed as well. Before there were reserved numbers about every third space however not all these spaces were reserved leaving unused spots. Now there are signs placed at the spot to reserve it and presumably taken down when no longer reserved. In some places I see that parking is still tight, but I live right near Longboat where the extra parking is.
As for the grounds, they are currently (albeit slowly) being redone. I can't wait for the huge pile of mulch in front of my building to disappear.
My biggest concern would have to be the lighting at night. Walking between buildings at night will almost engulf me in pitch black. I'm a rather large guy, so I'm not personally concerned, but I could imagine it would bother others.

The parking spots now have signs because I threatened them - they couldn't legally charge for them before the way they were doing it. Come down to building #54 where I live and look at the crap in my front yard that they won't fix properly. When you first move in, it appears to be great. But, after 3-4 months, their scam is exposed and you are left holding a long lease which they will not let you out of. Prepare to be miserable and pay alot in rent to be miserable.
