Island Walk has it's issues.Unfortunatley i had to experience some of them.The ongoing construction is a nuisance!I mean if they are going to remodel and make the place have some what of a curb appeal, then do so in a timely manner!As far as the apartments themselves they are nice and the remodeling is way better than what they were looking like before.I still think it's pricey (the rent).And yes they do charge for EXTRA ammenities such as the gym and parking and "trash pickup".i have made several complaints in my time here at island walk about the DOG $#!t left around the property, considering there are NO sidewalks in the apartments by the parking lots.So instead we are forced to either walk in the middle of the road and risk your life by some juvenille delinquent driving way to fast in a 10 mph zone OR Walk in the grass and step in dog feces!Either way your screwed!The owners of pets need to take a little more time to pick up after their animals.i'm sure if they had there own yard and i decided my dog was going to defecate on their lawn they would be some ANGRY homeowners!Am i right' Well here at island walk when i call and complain about the poop problem, you know what they told me...Well that building has a lot of dog owners so there's not much we can do about it.Umm i don't remember signing a lease saying i wanted to be surrounded by dog ----!But that's there way of dealing with tenants.I can not wait to MOVE! I thought i could love this place but i was wrong.No parking...no service from office staff...no silence...and some neighbors are just not the kind you want.

Wow, it just seems to me that you are looking for a reason to complain. I am sorry you had such bad experiences but honestly, I disagree with everything you've said. The construction, so what? We are getting better things, construction is a fact of life. Dog Poop, I've never stepped in any dog poop, maybe try using the sidewalks? I also live in an apartment that faces the parking lot, never have a problem getting to my door and I never have to walk through grass. I've never felt that I have "risked my life" when people drive by, in fact I can't think of anytime I've seen someone driving to fast through the neighborhood, with all our speed bumps, who would want to ruin their car that way? They don't charge for the gym, or parking (unless you want a reserved space) and definitely NOT for trash pick up?? Unless your referring to the sewer and water bill, which I hate to tell you, you pay for that no matter where you live. It just seems to me you like to complain about everything, whether its warrented or not. I'm sorry you had a bad experience but that doesn't mean the entire neighborhood is that way.
