well, first off when my roommate and I first looked at the model we fell in love with the place. Loved the floor plan, new appliances, etc. We were told the price was more because it was the new layout, and noone had lived in the apartment before the new renovations, so we would be the first ones, hence the extra $150 a month. We were excited, only to stop by a week or so before our move in date to see a woman with a small dog LIVING IN THE APARTMENT(the same one that noone has ever lived in and that they were remodeling). We complained and were told that the remodeling had not been done yet, and it would only take a few days(sounds like a nice remodeling job, eh') then we stopped by a day or two before the move and looked in the open windows to see that, infact, this was not the floor plan we wanted and there was some hidden #2 floor plan that we were getting which clearly is smaller and older and we were PISSED! we went to them demanding they give us the floor plan we signed up for! We were told there were none available and that we would have to take this apartment.
We had no other choice since it wasd a day before we were set to move and both of our leases at our old apartment were up! we were stuck.
since living here my health has deteriorated. there was an excessive amount of mold on both of my window sills and on the sliding glass door. My ashtma has gotten so bad I cant breathe during the night and my nose itches so bad it bleeds. I've been to the doctor 4 or 5 times in the last couple months, complaining about these strange health problems, chest pains, nausea, coughing, and my sinuses and asthma have been unlike anything I have ever experienced. I have 2 months left in my lease and I am PRAYING I can make it this long. I had to buy a $200 dollar air filter to try and catch these mold spores that the maintenance guy scrubbed off (discoloration, they called it, I guess calling it mold would warrant a lawsuit, eh') and left all over the window sills while cauking over the mold, as if it wont grow back, which it has already started.
Bottom line, this place is a breeding ground for mold. The exterior looks nice but these apartments are OLD and you can make anything look nice, but this place is rotting! do your health a favor and move somewhere else!

Wow did you not sign the piece of paper that said you acknowledge that mold exists and how to prevent/control it? Or did you just breeze over it? And the lease also says if it's the old or renovated units... if what the lease said was different than what you got, yeah complain. Otherwise maybe you should read what you are signing.

well actually, smart guy, I had them come a couple times to remove the mold that was.......dun dun dun.......ALREADY THERE WHEN I MOVED IN AND KEPT COMING BACK. And dear, just because they say it may exist, doesn't mean I am paying 1025 a month to be sick everyday. It's Florida, there is a chance for mold, does that mean they aren't responsible if it's there when I move in?? Yeah, though so.
