IF MONEY IS NO OBJECT....

This apartment complex may be right for you if money is of no concern. I am spending close to $900.00 per month on a 1br/1ba 800 sq ft. apartment and now that the lease is almost up, it would jump to 940.00. I asked the leasing agent in the office if they could help me out with the price, and it was quite obvious that I'd either have to pay up or pack up. I am a good tenant who always pays on time and doesn't get any noise complaints, and they didn't care in the least to try and keep me there for another year.It has become clear that this company is not concerned about their residents- only money! And this isn't the kind of place I want to call home.

Overall, the place LOOKS nice. The apartments have been upgraded- but after living here for months I have realized how shoddy the workmanship is. Without any use out of the ordinary, I've had my doorknob fall off, and the hinges came unscrewed on my door. I don't hear much noise in my unit, and the 24 hour fitness center is a nice touch. BUT, for almost $$$1,000 a month I could rent a 2 br/2ba (STILL NICE) apartment close by for HUNDREDS LESS! And that is exactly what I plan on doing in 2 months. I just can't justify spending $940.00 on a one bedroom apartment, no matter how nice the kitchen or tiled floors are.

And I won't even get started on all the other ways these people try to suck every last dime out of you- just read the other reviews you'll see! Like I said, if you don't mind sinking a rediculous amount of money into an apartment then you should take a look. SROlYjGrgm2VnM-SactV

Fyi they can't charge you less than someone else due to fair leasing laws. All rents have gone way up in the last 5 years. We are in a 2/2 that we paid 860 for in 2002 and now pay 1100. If you think this place is bad try a less expensive place. You do get what you pay for. We tried and it was way noisier and we always had water leaks inside our apt. That's why we moved back to island walk. Good luck.

Thanks for your responses. What do you mean they can't charge me less than someone else? I don't understand what you mean. I know that rent increases every year, as I have had this happen with every apartment. But to throw away 940.00 per month on a one bedroom apartment is just rediculous no matter how you look at it. Especially when I could move there right now and pay 825.00 for my apartment. I am a single female as well, and have done some shopping. I have found several 2br 2 ba apts close by for less than 900.00 and they are still nice places. I am either going to take a slight downgrade to save some money, or am considering finding a condo or townhome so that I can invest my money instead of giving it all to a complex.

I had the same experience, and had to move out. My rent would have increased by about $75/month and as a single female couldn't justify spending nearly $1000/month for an apartment... What's worse - when I looked up my specific apartment online for availability, the rent was less than what I had paid over the last year.
