I have lived in Jade at Tampa Palms for the past year. I moved in February 2007. The only reason that I am moving out is because I am moving to a different state for work.
The maintenance is top notch. Not that I had many problems but when I did (A/C not working properly), they were usually there within an hour after I called John(Property Manager) and fixed the problem within an hour.
Grounds maintenance is great too and there is never any trash on the ground around the complex. They keep the curbs painted and the breezeways painted as well. This is an older complex but it is well maintained and it shows.
I would be lying if I said that every thing was good at this apartment complex. I had a family of camel jockey's living above me and they had about 4 kids and always had people over. I'm pretty sure they were riding their camels in the apartment all day because I could always hear them walking/running. That being said, the floors / walls appear to be pretty thin but then again it is an apartment complex so I didn't even bother to complain.
I did live in the middle of the complex so I did not have any issues with the noise on Bruce B. Downs but I have heard that it is kind of loud. So if you do live here, try to stay off of the Bruce B. Downs side.
I had no issues with parking but I could see how it may be a problem in other parts of the complex with only one side of parking on their building.
To all the posts below me...I'll start off by saying that I am 24, white, not a wigger, and have a good job. If you do work at McDonalds, you probably can't afford to live at this complex (unless its like 10 ppl in a 3 bedroom). It's not the most expensive but its def. not cheap. You should probably be living in Section 8 housing right down the street off of Fletcher. If you don't get good maintenance service, you should probably be a better tenant. You should pay your rent on time and take responsibility for your actions. If you did something to where the carpet needed to be replaced, I see no reason why you should be upset with the fact that they are trying to charge you. The management does not strike me as the kind of people that would need to charge people if it's not needed.
Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would recommend this complex.
